Micro soft has post an article in their Knowledge Base on steps you can take to protect yourself from spoofed URLs in IE, Outlook, and Outlook Express. AMong other things, they suggest you stop clicking on links and type them instead.

I've got an idea, how about not using IE and start using Mozilla instead. I just love how M$ won't fix their products and inconvenience the hell out of their users.

Waiting for IE7? Keep waiting, because you won't get it until Longhorn comes out in 2005 or whenever M$ decides to release it. Meanwhile, Mozilla will continue to improve and innovate leaving IE in the dust. I've been using Mozilla as my primary browser since 2000, and used Netscape before that back to 1995.
