SCO takes aim at Linux users: The software maker says it has begun receiving Unix copyrights and will start a program to let companies running Linux avoid litigation by paying licensing fees
{from CNET News.com}
"we just got unix copyrights, now gimme money or i'll sue you!" i just love how sco uses vague language to try to scare people into giving them money. they haven't disclosed any kind of conclusive proof to their claims, gone to court, or won a law suit that would merit this kind of extortion. even if by some freak miracle sco did win its case against ibm, it still has no bearing on whether or not people have to pay sco to use linux. the case is about contract law, not IP law. someday maybe sco will take some of the $$ it got from microsoft and go buy a clue instead of trying to scare the linux community into giving up its lunch money.
